ANNUAL POST CAMP FOR FAMILIES & ADULTS

Canoe DockThis is an opportunity for a unique experience!

The Northway peninsula has no telephone and no electricity. We will cook your meals on a wood-burning stove. You will sail, paddle, swim and bathe in beautiful Cache Lake, inside Algonquin Provincial Park.

DATES:

Thursday, August 19th to Thursday, August 26th, 2010

FEES:

Adults: $70.00 per day;
Children 13-16: $35.00 per day;
Children under 13: No Fee

A 3% provincial sales tax and 5% federal sales tax will be added to the fees. Fees include three meals a day, use of Northway facilities and accommodation.

If you attend Post Camp and you have a child or children at Northway-Wendigo (camper or staff), they attend Post Camp free with you.

Please Note: Camp Northway is not a peanut-free camp.

PARK PERMITS:

Please stop at the Algonquin Park West or East Gate to obtain necessary parking permits.

ACCOMMODATION:

Each family, group or individual will be lodged in one of Northway's large platform tents. Cots, mattresses and cedar chests are provided. Campers are responsible for bringing their own sleeping bag, bedding, flashlights and alcoholic beverages if desired.

SUPERVISION:

Activities are not supervised. This is your chance to be at Northway on your own. Parents are responsible for their own children.

ACTIVITIES:

Planned activities are determined by the interests of the group. They include such things as day trips to Algonquin's Visitor Centre and hiking trails.

PETS:

Sorry, no pets.

LIABILITY:

Northway Lodge Ltd. assumes no liability with regard to any loss, damage or injury incurred by anyone attending Post Camp.

RESERVATIONS:

In order to reserve space, send a deposit of $125 payable to Camp Northway and the Post Camp 2010 Application (PDF format only). Please reserve only the dates that you are sure you will be attending.

Camp Northway for girls (ages 7-16) offers a traditional program based on our wilderness setting, of swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, arts and crafts, and dramatics.Camp Wendigo for boys (ages 12-16) is essentially a canoe-tripping outpost, offering supervised canoe trips throughout Algonquin Park's 3000 square miles of protected wilderness.ANNUAL POST CAMP FOR FAMILIES & ADULTS
